About El Camino Dojo
El Camino SKA Dojo is a member dojo of Shotokan Karate of America, a not-for-profit organization teaching karate in the U.S. since 1955. El Camino held its first practice at the El Camino YMCA in September 2023.
We teach Shotokan Karate as a traditional martial art. Our practice emphasizes the development of mental strength and natural, realistic techniques. We are not a commercial karate school and do not require a contract or sell you a package or a program. Students at all levels practice together, helping each other improve and become more confident.
Welcome Newcomers!
We are so glad that you are interested in joining El Camino SKA Dojo. Beginners are always welcome! As a beginner, you’ll learn basic stances, techniques, and forms. In a short time, you’ll join the group for the full practice. No special equipment is needed; just wear comfortable clothing suitable for vigorous exercise. To start practicing with us, contact either Uri Ratzkoff or Theodore Wong, or drop by the El Camino YMCA at 2400 Grant Road, Mountain View, CA 94040.
